Agri-Business is the systematic approach to reduce the losses by providing skill development training to the students to produce value added products and selling them to nearby markets. It increases marketability and employment to rural people/entrepreneurs. This leads to the economic growth of the state as well as entire nation. This summer school has been specially designed to strengthening the skill of students by providing training in agricultural and horticultural start-ups/Agri-enterprise. Organic farming as well as application of organics in conventional agriculture is being looked upon as one of the strategies to meet the current needs. At the same time, we are dependent enough on organic sources to meet out the nutritional requirement of our crops in addition to chemical fertilizer use to feed huge global population in general and India in particular. On the other, the chemical fertilizers are in short supply besides their high escalating prices and ill-effects on soil-plant-human-environment interface, so the production and marketing of organic manure is highly appreciable and profitable also. The another objective of this training program is to provide technical knowledge about food processing and to guide the communities, who are willing to set up small agro processing enterprises to tap the natural resources existing in their environments. This summer school is designed in such a way that after completion of the training, the students will be skilled on particular themes as given here with and may take a initial step towards startups’/ Agri- enterprise.
